"On Ajit's recommendation (the owner and guide), our trek was scheduled for January. Everywhere online, it says you should do the Everest trek in April/May, but he said it would be much colder, but there would be almost no one there and the views would be fantastic thanks to the clear air. And boy was he right! You can dress for the cold and bring gear, but the same can't be said for the weather. The skies were a brilliant blue every day (it snowed one day, which we really enjoyed for a change). Ajit told us a bit about the area and the culture and arranged everything down to the last detail. Regarding the planning, he said we could see how we were doing each day (this was very helpful, because circumstances and the weather sometimes make it necessary/better to deviate from the plan). I also found some sections through the ice a bit daunting to walk. Ajit then helped me calmly and quietly get over and down. "In March 2025 i did a hike with the amazing guide Ajit. We did the Manaslu circuit, but he was very knowledgeable about other treks as well. Everything was very well taken care of and well organized. The trek was great, with stunning views and plenty of wildlife. The accommodations are sometimes basic, but have everything you need, and the food did not disappoint. I would highly recommend the trek, and Ajit as a guide. He was very professional and experienced. It was so much fun and I would definitely come back to Nepal and to him for future treks."
